A few months back I got a call from a company I had applied to when I first moved to Ohio. They had schedule an interview with me, but later decided they weren’t going to actually bring that position on and cancelled my interview. Luckily I had an interview for my current job that week and landed the job. Anyhoo, HR called me up and still had my resume on file and asked if I’d be interested in a position that was becoming available. I had been starting to think about looking for a new job after the wedding because I felt I had done and grown all I could in my current position. Fast forward about 3 months later and after many phone updates, emails, and interviews I am finally ready to start my new position as an advertising account planner! I am very stoked for this new job since it is the kind of position I was interested in when I graduated from school.
Needless to say, between getting settled in post-wedding, preparing for my sister’s wedding, beginning my half-marathon training, and interviewing for this new job… my schedule has been jam-packed. My half marathon training has so far only consisted of building up my base mileage. The race isn’t until May so I don’t necessarily have to really train yet, I just have to get my butt back into gear. Anyone that runs knows that getting back into the initial mileage is the hardest part. Gym Class Heroes “The Fighter” has been a big motivator during my runs when I feel like walking.
And, of course, football season has started.
Finally, fall is POST-COLLEGIATE LACROSSE SEASON! What whaaaaaaaat?!?! Since most of the team coaches in the spring, fall is our big playing season. I got voted onto the board as communication chair for our 2012-2013 season and we have a lot of fun play day, games, and tournaments coming up.
